Latest Doodle - ‘Ico & Yorda’ (Charcoal)
Laying in bed, reeling in insomniacical insomnia, I’m mulling over umpteen concept art ideas for ‘Allyria’ my collaboration with the brilliant Lisa Mantchev when I have the sudden urge to play ‘Ico’, one of my favorite video games ever. EVARGH (and if you haven’t played it, you absolutely should. It’s been re-released for the ps3 in HD alongside ‘Shadow of the Colossus’ which is also ridiculously brilliant. I’ll be waiting for you here for when you finish both. Finished? Good. Weren’t they both AMAZING?!) but instead of getting up to play, I get up to doodle because there’s a tiny part of me that’s not caked in charcoal dust yet (now there isn’t). So yes - here’s an Ico / Yorda doodle for you - and now I’m going to go back to bed and pretend to be asleep, lest the goblins eat my feet off x
